Johan Benestam was the recipient of the coveted American scholarship “The Grand Tour Scholarship” for 2004, sponsored by the Toro Company and Robert Trent Jones, Jr. As part of the month-long scholarship, Johan met with superintendents of 22 world-known courses in the USA. Courses included Shinnecock Hills, The National Golf Links of America, Pine Valley, Pinehurst, Oakmont CC, Seminole G.C, TPC at Sawgrass etc. The scholarship gave Johan insight into the architecture of these legendary courses; their architects, key architectural differences and the decade in which they were built. ....More information
